All right, guys, be careful, I was a victim.

I happened to join several servers in the past few weeks, my Counter-Strike completely changed; Server added random techno music to my client playing in the background, my chat looks completely different, main menu has server advertisements on it, keys have been binded into my client and much more.

As far as I know these things are considered as hacks, they are done with AMX Mod X if I'm not wrong, just beware of such servers, most of them are non-Steam, so just go for Steam servers.

Haha if you are Steam user then no need to worry about this slowhack stuff anymore. On nosteam has this problem. Yes by default valve not set cl_filterstuffcmd to 1, so you need to manually set it to 1.

As long as your client is using up-to-date (ie, version 6153) and you have cl_filterstuffcmd set to 1, the last 2 will be blocked. I think the second one will be blocked as well, don't remember. The first one isn't anything bad, the server is just using the plugin Loading Sounds

Well, servers really do have too much power, since they can use console commands for user and therefore change things, one of those is taking screenshot (used by infamous plugin/script/command called "pwn") and in general screw with your client. Yeah, almost 90% of servers are non-Steam... well that's what I see, and on some non-Steam servers it even says that they have full VAC protection... what's scary is that all those servers are provided by very big and popular hosting companies... Though, Valve doesn't do anything about them, well, nor do Blizzard, Webzen, etc.

And also, YES, redirect IS possible, do I need to screenshot it? Well, non-Steam servers do it...

Now I'm not even sure if I'm running the latest release... All right, I'll update and then try...

If you have it on steam, right click the game in your library and properties, then under local files click verify integraty.
