it's not (really) a bug, just antivirus' presumptions. and never forget that viruses/cheats/etc. will always be ahead of their opposites. but I think that your case was just a false-positive.

my motto: "to be a hermit is better than to meet infected people".
some of my basic but really efficient ways:
  • antiviruses are just an addon, not a real protection.
  • to never trust any unknown removable disk even from your own father.
  • to share oneself files using CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs/BD-ROMs. to never use usb stuff, even if write protected. if necessary, to write but never read from unknown USB drives. using a virtual OS (BartPE, UBCD4Win, Winbuilder, Knoppix, etc.).
  • firewalls and some small addons are sometimes more reliable than antiviruses.
  • to understand the suspicious virus reasoning (autoruns, hidden files, executable files, etc.).
my results about some common viruses:
  • a friend compared my ways with the almighty Caspersky (I know, it's Kaspersky), just that he found them a bit complicated.
  • already found viruses before that the antivirus recognizes them (some days ago in my cousin's computer, Avira detected all suspicious files but not the .exe one).

My father tried once (I was 12 back then) to install something that block some websites in my computer, from his computer. He told me it was a game
On-Topic, they produce a virus that later will be detected by their antivirus.
Anyway these antiviruses will always detect cracks as viruses to protect games and apps.

and, do you know about android apps (also iOS and others) ? some of those free softwares ask for suspicious permissions/authorizations, at least the announced ones. like the "famous" angry birds which was listed as spyware among ~30%~ of other apps by an antivirus (Ad-Aware or BitDefende. can't remember). read it in a newspaper.

@ANTICHRISTUS, I am forgiven by SomeOne else.

Anyway I still can't understand why a game needs permission to my phonebook, gps, wi-fi, messages, e-mail, camera, and a bunch of other stuff!

Antivirus is the chief, Angry Birds guys(Rovio) shouldn't request my personal info or open my camera whenever they want so antivirus can just block that.

Anyway antivirus can steal whatever "he" wants and never report "herself"!

it was an example, I saw a simple flashlight app asking for more (phone number, calls, SD-card content,..).

yeah sure, and to protect your wireless network you only need the WPA/PSK thingy and a big password (which I don't use both of them).

it's not about Rovio staff, it's about -snip- , you know who are paranoïd.

if they are allowed to want.

Wasn't this thread about compiling C code first?

it was about a compilation error/false detection problem. and a bit derailed later.

personally, I like to show my weird non-conventional ways to people who may want to know them.. btw, the friend I was talking about called me to manually clean up two (from three) computers which are/were "protected" with.. you know what. I want to know what's about the third one LOL .
