[TF2] Pumpkins

I had a lot of fun with this on my surf server, however it made me slightly abusive, observe:

1. Console: alias spam "sm_pumpkin;wait 20;spam"
2. Console: spam
3. Draw pretty bridges and ladders.
4. Poke one pumpkin.
5. ??????
6. PROFIT!

I did something to the same effect. Turned noclip on myself, went to an unused spawn room... I preceded to line the walls with pumpkins.. When the spawn room changed and the first wave spawned, there was a priceless "OH MY GOD WHAT THE PUMPKIN?!?" Of course it didn't take long for someone to shoot one and cause a mass exploding horrible mess.

Surprisingly on a full server, it never crashed. I'm sure if you spawn enough it eventually will, but clients will probably start having a nice slide show before then.

You'd think so, wouldn't you?

At the request of someone, I went to the Harvest event map (empty server), filled the ENTIRE thing with pumpkins, the intention being to record this explosion and put it on YouTube for them to watch.

When I got to exploding the pumpkins, there was a half a second freeze, followed by all pumpkins just disappearing (no explosions).

Should of used source recorder, demo'd it then played it back at a high framerate/timescale.

Also anyone found out the entity name for the candy pumpkin, people have been nagging me to create a shed load of them for obvious reasons.

Well, I found the limit of pumpkins (not sure of the number, but I had 4 lines going across pipeline as well as both spawn rooms filled). This DID crash the server But it was still fun to run around on a highly explosive bridge

Lol! I just tried this on my server, AND IT WAS AWESOME! I put a bit to many at the end and when i shot them I got kicked for "ent Flooding" or something, but the other people stayed and got to see the huge explosion.

Try this:

Switch to sniper with huntsman
Spawn a bunch of pumpkins in spawn.
Wait for spawn wave.
Fire an arrow at a pumpkin.

Be accused of "hax0ring" your own server.

It would be cool if you could somehow spawn a pumpkin randomly on death. Does anyone know how to do that?
