So I want to rotate an entity and I want to do some calculations of my own. As far as I can see TeleportEntity just sets the QAngle (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/QAngle) of the entity in question. I can't wrap my head around it though. Is source right handed or left handed? The order of rotation and offset from Z axis I am thoroughly confused now.

right-handed, i guess. what calculation?

edit: the full rotation should be R_z(yaw) * R_y(pitch) * R_x(roll) if you were asking about that

no.. this sets local rotation.
if you need to translate with respect to the origin or another object, you need to do the vector maths
