restart server via ftp

My Tcadmin is acting up and I cant restart the server through it.
I've logged in via ftp and can see everything but I dont know how to stop and start the game server via ftp.

is this possible?

No, use rcon. rcon quit. or rcon restart.

You can however make it crash and hopefully restart (depends) by deleting your server.dll :p

You cant delete a dll file when in use, you have to turn the server off to delete it I believe.

It might've been copying over the binary (it can be MM:S or a plugin too). I can't remember since it's been months since I've accidentally made my server crash.

Just update the sourcemod bin files.
Or go into the server and typ in the console rcon exit

i could'nt delete the dll
For some reason the tcadmin would go up and down within minutes.
So I deleted the old sourcemod and any recent plugins that i felt might of caused the server not to start up. After many tries it finally went up.
