You have to wait at least 48 hours, 24 after logging in the old server to the token before moving it for online clients to get the ID registered in their favorites, then within 24 hours after moving it to the new server all clients that are online will have been updated. The longer you wait in stage one the more chance you have of clients getting transferred over.

Do players have to have joined the server AFTER we set the token to actually know what token is connected to the gameserver?

As in if I set the token now and I have some people who have the server in their favourites but don't join it, when I change the IP of the server will they see it (after x hours) in their favourites?

Basically what I'm asking is, does the server browser connect the token to the gameservers or does the game do it when you join a server and add it to your favourites?

Steam will update the favourites - it checks once every 24 hours when online.

Doesnt work for me aswell, i placed autoexec.cfg in csgo/cfg folder, server doesnt get updated in game cp

That looks like steamcmd output. Launch srcds with the autoexec.cfg in /cfg/ and try again.

no clue what you've just told, i dont run a server on my computer or server, i've bought server so its pretty fucked up to do anything

not really needed to add "+exec autoexec.cfg" to the cmd line.

just add the sv_setsteamaccount TOKEN in your autoexec.cfg (csgo/cfg/autoexec.cfg)

the server executes the configs in this order.

first autoexec.cfg (even without added in the cmd line)
server.cfg
mapname.cfg
plugin.cfg (from sourcemod)

Little question appart, do you know which cfg is executed first between autoexec and a map set in launch options with +exec mycfg.cfg ?
