Hi,

Quick question. Are the admins (re-)read from the database every 'x' minutes, every map change, or every server reboot/startup?

Also, is there a command to make the server re-read the database to update access? I've tried sm_rehash but seems that's not it.

It should be updated every mapchange. sm_rehash should work for manually updating it, but you might have to do sm_reloadadmins after it.

Aye, had to do sm_reloadadmins for it to work. Thanks anyway!

Latest SVN has resolved this issue for me.

Hi,

Sourcebans is working for me. But all my servers say "querying server data"

i think its because i have those Square characters in my server name. I remove the squares it seems to work.

Can you get this to just ignore the square symbol?

Trying to do the inital install....sifted through the 70+ pages of posts, couldn;t find an answer.

The install says PHP 4.0 is required. I have 4.4.8, and it refuses to continue the install. What's the fix?

I could be mistaken, but I believe php 5.x is required. They may not have updated the requirements on the install pages.

OK....spent all day and finally got this installed and semi-working (not exactly user friendly, is it?). Here are the problems I'm experiencing:

1. Getting "error connecting" messages in the server lists (Rcon works, so it CAN contact the server).

2. It's not loading any admins. From the log file:

Quote:
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] SELECT authid, srv_password , srv_group, srv_flags, user, immunity FROM sb_admins_servers_groups AS asg LEFT JOIN sb_admins AS a ON a.aid = asg.admin_id WHERE (server_id = (SELECT `sid` FROM `sb_servers` WHERE `ip` = '64.34.215.202' AND `port` = '27015' LIMIT 0,1) OR srv_group_id = ANY ( SELECT group_id FROM sb_servers_groups WHERE server_id = (SELECT `sid` FROM `sb_servers` WHERE `ip` = '64.34.215.202' AND `port` = '27015' LIMIT 0,1))) GROUP BY aid, authid, srv_password, srv_group, srv_flags, user
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] Loaded group: "HEAD ADMINS"
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] Loaded group: "ADVANCED ADMINS (KICK/BAN)"
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] Loaded group: "BASIC ADMIN (KICK)"
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] Loaded group: "RESERVED SLOTS"
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] [SourceBans] Finished loading 4 groups.
L 07/31/2008 - 16:01:54: [sourcebans.smx] [SourceBans] Finished loading 0 admins.
3. When I add someone to a group that has the "z" flag enabled, they still do not have admin access on the server.

Help!

Did you have mysql admins already set up? You need to have that set up and then in rcon type sm_create_adm_tables then try to install sourcebans.

Ok....I've got all the issues solved except one:

I read back through all those pages (shouldn't there be a FAQ somewhere?) and saw something about asking a host to unlock a port to correct the "error connecting" messages on the Servers List.

Could someone be so kind as to type out exactly what I would need to ask (in non-coder's terms) my shared host to fix to make this work?
