Why the chat commands mustn't be preceded by the characters "!" and "/"?

I am using MetaMod 1.10.0-hg857, SourceMod 1.5.0-hg3874 and your GameVoting on a public DoD:S dedicated server with the following config:

gv_need_players "3"
gv_voteban_enable "1"
gv_voteban_percent "60"
gv_voteban_time "10"
gv_votekick_enable "1"
gv_votekick_percent "60"

A little ago, i was in that server with another two players. One of them has typed "votekick" in chat and has selected the other player for joke. Soon after, the latter has been kicked without my vote.

Given that there shouldn't be problems with the config, i have thinked at an incompatibility with that more recent version of MetaMod and SourceMod.

What do you think?

The only problem of that plugin is: when people rec/disc from the server, the vote will be reseted. (That is really annoying)

GameVoting 1.3rc dev (Download!)
This is version 1.3rc1 (RC — release candidate) NOT TESTED AT ALL.
However you can use 1.1 release.

You use at your own risk. If you find a bug, write to the forum, thx.

Config file will be avaliable in cstrike/cfg/sourcemod after using this plugin.

REQUIREMENTS: Sourcemod 1.5.1 (sourcemod1.4.+)
INSTALLATION: Just replace cstrike folder.

New features:
- Old plugin 408 lines, new - 258.
- You can hide or show admins in votekick or voteban.
- You can use configuration of deactivating plugin when admin on server.
- Log messages in sourcemod files.
- For now, you dont need to use ! or / for command.

Its light plugin for all clanwar servers. (not only)

Hi,

I needed this for my TF2 server and people were using "votekick" and "voteban" without the exclamation mark, "!". I've modified this and uploaded the compiled/source file so it satisfies both parties when using it with or without the "!".
