Thank you for so many replies. Sorry for my late feedback, I was in the holidays. The .sma from my first post works correctly. But only on the server.

If you didn't see anything or you see only a black rectangle, you must copy the file from the test archiv to the cstrike folder of counterstrike. The same folder where you copy the models, sprites, maps and so on.

I have tested the precache_generic function before I open this thread. The files doesn't precache or downloaded on clients.

Yes exactly this is the problem.

EDIT:
I have read that the order of precached files are important. So I check this today or tomorrow.
But the biggest problem is that the need a restart. So we should reconnect the clients who haven't this files but how is the check.

If this problem solved I release this plugin with some functions that I scripted already before I opened this thread.

It works with the new precache-order. Great. Thank you very much!

The client must only reconnect to the server by me. I have a suggestion for this problem.

So, I would like to use the nvault database. If someone connecting to the server and wasn't before on the server he will be reconnected and his SteamID will integrated in the database. Then we can check the SteamID.

Well, he could remove any files and join again, that's up to him for screwing with his game, not to us :}

I tested myself some of these codes, and yeah, they work if you restart the game... don't know if it works if you only rejoin... I didn't find any good use for them in my plugin so I just abandoned the research :}

you can't do that with.

you can only
1. make him download files with precache

look what writes to clients console when he connects, download errors are there. and btw, there are extensions counter strike simply not allow to be uploaded to players, like .cfg or .exe or .dll


*about .res files, some of them loads only from valve res folder, if you have same files in cstrike res folder, it won't load from cstrike and will use .res files from valve folder, tested it some time ago

Sorry I forgot this thread.

What happen if a player has not the same file than the server?
He will be disconnected with an error, like an error with a model? Or he load the file from the server?
