Released an update, just to release. It's not finished, yet, but lots of progress has been made. The coolest stuff is usermessages and SourcePawn native invocation. Now you can call SourcePawn functions from Viper:

natives.invoke("PrintToServer", "Hello, World!")
ent_id = natives.invoke("CreateEntityByName", "tf_weapon_lunchbox")
ent = entity.Entity(ent_id)
print ent.classname # "tf_weapon_lunchbox"

Is there a Linux/TF2 build for this available? I don't see it mentioned in this topic anywhere.

At the moment, the binaries aren't readily available. However, I should have some free time on Linux soon, and I'll do my best to get them up.

If you're anxious, you can either grab the old version, which is available for most engines on Linux, or build it yourself.

I had a go at it a few days ago with the existing Linux binaries because one of our dev's does python coding and is interested in this extension. The old version doesn't load at the current TF2 Linux server. I'll pass along the info on building it ourselves, thanks.
