This is common with this plugin Unknown command "l4d_maxplayers" error often given when running a Local Dedicated Server.
Just ignore it. Better still remove the line from your "Server.cfg"
If using to add extra slots, try using another plugin. There are several plugins for this "Bebop, Bots Control, Left8Dead, Multislots to name a few

I just added it to my server just to see what happens

Unless you have this installed specifically to get another pluging to work I would not bother
If the plugin that requires L4dt works then you could always ignore the error

Using the Player slots version with the updated game data file gave me

I am Using This with no errors on my Krufftys Killers servers.

You forgot the "left4downtown.inc"

However using the "left4downtown.inc" I already had plus the above files did not generate an error log on any of my 4 servers which range from non modded to heavily modded. Sweet

Now I can remove all traces of Left 4 Downtown as I don't use it. Nice to know there is a version that works ok though

Would be great if the modder kept a working set of files as the files on post 1 clearly generate errors

Btw the version of "left4downtown.inc" I was using was from the Player slots build.
