i put it on my linux server but SM fails to load it. the .so file is only 27kb from the download while the .dll file is much bigger is that right?

anyway this is the error message:
] rcon sm exts list
autokick is disabled for FW|Danthe
[SM] Displaying 3 extensions:
[01] CS:S Tools (1.0.0.1787): CS:S extended functionality
[02] BinTools (1.0.0.1656): Low-level C/C++ Calling API
[03] <FAILED> file "sockets.ext.so": No such file or directory

however the file is there i have checked. and the .inc file is in the right place too.

I have tried debugging the crashes on linux. But i have been unable to get it to crash while running IRC Relay. Could someone who had problems with crashes please post what you did before it crashed, or post a core file (must type: ulimit unlimited in the shell before)

I have almost finished Sockets EXT 2.0. This version handles things alot better, and should make it alot harder to crash, even if your plugin is written wrong.

Also, this will support sending the \x00 char, so it should make the sockets usefull for binary data instead of just ascii.

Another feature is listen sockets. You will be able to run listen plugins on the server, this would be usefull for... something :p - Some people requested it, so i guess there is a reason for them

And last of all, it will run on OrangeBox engine, linux and windows

-

I am going to need some beta testers in about a week. - Please reply here if you want to run a beta copy of the extension. (if you run a linux server, you must have root admin, so you can run the 'ulimit unlimited' command). Please write your OS (win/linux) in your reply.

I'd be glad to test your beta version(s).

I'm running Team Fortress 2 on Debian 4 (and have root access of course). In case you're interested in testing on Debian for yourself I could also provide you with a small TF2 server (to which only you get access and full control) to test your extensions/plugins.

I can test the plugins for you on any of my PCs...
