I'm working on porting a track into my trade server map in the coming days...its not something you can exactly create this fast. I'm just trying to figure out the logic in the map to keep track of players and their laps etc etc.... gonna be interesting.

just use trigger_multiple or something ;p

you can also use this plugin to make every spawn inside of a cart as soon as they spawn, or control that via the map itself like sd_doomsday_event does

You are better off letting a plugin handle that logic.
Are you planning to port a Mario Kart map?

Something that might be worth adding, whenever it's set to -1 on the "boost," make it a toggle.
OH! And thanks for fixing the other convar.

Also, since the new update, I can't slay people or use the "kill" in console...?

I tried that, but OnPlayerRunCmd only seems to say +attack2 when it actually does something.

In other words, I can only try toggling it ON/OFF when the cart has enough fuel to begin charging. I can give the cart 100% fuel again while the user is boosting, but then if I press +attack2, the boost gets disabled and then instantly re-enabled.

Though... I haven't tried setting a timer to block re-applying the boost.


Also people may have not noticed, but when you set the boost time to like 50 seconds, it means the recharge time is also 50 seconds. I'll be making another cvar to configure this (or maybe Valve has some that I don't see in cvarlist).

Oh, I was thinking, you could make the boost toggle, like if they press "S", it could turn off as this action also acts as a reverse.

OH actually. Maybe I can just make moving backwards untoggle it. +back

That'd be easy and simple.


Note to self: My plugin logic can probably let someone keep a mini-game spawned car after respawning because of the magic swimming fix.
