Most ISP's are not switching IP's now on people as much as they used to. I've got a dynamic IP and it hasn't changed in over 2 years. So yeah that is still an issue but the idea of banning the IP# vs the SteamID at least on the short term is best.
Would be nice if SB's would go ahead and block both at the same time without much effort from the administrator side.

I would rather use IP bans by default because it stops them dead in their tracks. As Horse said, if I just ban a steam id.. what is stopping them from using another FREE steam account on a FREE game? I had all sorts of issues with my first several perma bans because I wasn't going in and manually changing them to IP bans but having to do this every time is just dreadful.

Long story short, I know it has to be possible because it uses steam id by default, therefor it must be able to be changed. I just don't know how.

first time sorry for my bad english.
now my problem is, i have sourcebans 1.4.12 installed on my root server.
and the files (game_uplod) loaded on the server
But I get no connection to the server via the web interface.
My Error Message is
N/A N/A Error connecting (85.25.136.38:27040) Help link -->(85.25.136.38/sourceban)

and the messsage from sourcemod :

L 11/22/2014 - 02:13:54: [SM] (Line 0): Error 1 (Stream failed to open)
L 11/22/2014 - 02:13:54: [SM] Unable to load plugin "sb_bans.smx": Native "SB_Init" was not found
L 11/22/2014 - 02:13:54: [SM] Unable to load plugin "sb_admins.smx": Native "SB_Init" was not found

can someone help me

You are using the SourceBans Beta Plugin V1.5.

Please Delete Sourcebans.smx, sb_bans.smx, and sb_admins.

Also delete sourcebans/sourcebans.cfg.

Use the plugin included in the .zip
