tab + ctrl, view players. if they all have a profile, then it's a legit server.

Ok yall great news for the windows server people all you have to do is run
sourcemod-1.3.2-hg2943
mmsource-1.8.1-hg698
and then your server should be fully up and running i just tested mine and it works great just like new ive been working on this all night trouble shooting so i am glad i can help yall have a great day

I seem to be missing something in the installation or upgrading. I did download all the right files on page two. Places them in the addons folder. Done this before to make it work. Server starts just fine. Oddly enough.... no sourcemod starts. In console meta mode lists are not active. Any thoughts?

To me it sounds like it could be a file problem recheck your install i would say

I see the information for the Windows server (at which I have yet to get to work either...)

But.. since I can't get them to work with Windows, what information does everyone have for Linux servers as well.

I have a Linux server and a Windows server, and both are giving issues. At least with this fix everyone is talking about with Windows, I am able to get the server running again, but no mods working.

Linux, doesnt care if the old stuff of sourcemod or metamod are still hanging around.. the server fires up fine, but NO mods again are working.

Any thoughts ?

as i posted before i got my windows working with the set of metamod and sourcemod that i stated try that see if it works for ya my server is fully up and running but i selfhost my games

Guys, I just updated my L4D2 LAN dedicated server & it is NOT running meta or source mod yet & I noticed that there is a new folder called "addons".
In it there is a readme file ...........

Install .VPK add-ons by placing them in this folder. View and manage add-ons from the main menu: Extras->Add-ons.

This would conflict with what you have installed I would guess.
Just letting you know.
