okay, i did everything correctly according to this tutorial:

and when i try to run hlds, i get this error message:

I am extremly sorry, but some screenshots will not show the real problem and its solutions. if you failed somewhere, then just do everything from the beginning.

test, simulate, understand before to post. posts will not show us what are you doing and seeing.

but at old times i remember i installed a server differently, there were no steamcmd or whatever,
i just downloaded amx mod x and installed admin pack and the server would work without problems, but now you have to use some steamcmd which i am hearing for the first time and its very complicated because you get errors and stuff, hlds problem

nothing is complicated.


open steamcmd

login anonymous

app_update 90 validate

do this command 3 times.

open the server and see if it works.
if it works, download amxmodx and metamod.

nothing is hard in it. you just dont read the steps given in the tutorial

did exactly the same and hlds wont work because of the error i posted above, i will try to reinstall CS to see if it will fix the problem

If you are still trying to install dproto, I will almost guarantee that is your issue.

i deleted dproto.cfg and STILL SAME

Don't just delete the config for it, delete all of it. Don't even install it
