I have tried many VPS for gameservers and they typically sucks ass.

its prob not "lag" as in ping or latency from the connection but most likely the CPU power over what the VPS is allowed - check the CPU usage against what you pay for. I went with one a while back and it was horrible on anyone that played - just not enough CPU horsepower.

Yeah, thanks everyone for your help. I just decided to abandon the VPS and order a proper server from somewhere else. Lesson learned.

At the begin my VPS machines was laggy too.

I edited my bandwidth and -pingboost 1
And yes the pings goes down and everything runs normally.

OpenVZ or Xen are ok.
I have on this moment 3770k 2 Vcores with 1gb ram and yes its ok for 32 players =)

I will give this a try since it's still running.

edit: Yes, that seemed to have helped but not by a whole lot. It's irrelevant to me now, I won't be using a VPS but this might come in handy for someone else down the road.

False, if the server is far away from you, you'll have a higher ping.
