I will definitely start using this if you can have the voice countdown like in good old 1.6.

There is no way to "play hello" but you could certainly play localized versions of sounds and choose the right one.

only if you, as the server administrator decide to add a ton of sounds for download just so you can do that.

And about 75% of players I talk to, don't even finish connecting if they have to download a lot of stuff.

Why couldn't you just add a single sound file with a 10 second countdown?

guess you could...but localized sounds on HL1 were a bunch of individual sounds.

Yes but if you trigger the script to start playing the 10 second timer sound as soon as 10 seconds hits, then you avoid the problem altogether. A 10 second long MP3, hell even a WAV wouldn't take long at all to download. Much faster than 10+ separate sounds. Either way as long as I can get that old school 1.6 feel I'll be very pleased.

You don't want to use a single long sound because subsequent play commands override each other. If you have other sounds enabled they would override the bomb settings if they were triggered. EDIT: This may not be true.

I will add an optional speaking countdown feature to this if someone can provide me with the countdown sounds. EDIT2: This part is still true though
