amxx got the same, but running them from remote (not connected to the server as client or through the console) needs rcon password.

ya but why would someone need rcon a server via not in the server? I would never do that.

Do you know what HLSW is? Apparently not. It is a program for monitoring/controlling your server without having to be in the game (which is very beneficial for many people).

The rcon password should only be removed if it's not used consistently. Otherwise, it should be a very strong password.
