While I do bug the guy working on sourcemod GunGame regularly to finish it, I'm often an advocate against gameplay modification plugins. Unless used sparingly, for instance, I don't mind zombie mod, zombie horde, gungame, or war3...in small doses, but it's not a "I'll play this all the time" kind of thing. In my opinion, if you're running only 1 server you should run straight up CS, not BS. You're allowed to have "events" once in a while though. Where you do run stuff like that... But that's my opinion, based on my trying in 1.6 to find an awp "limited per team" or no restriction at all server, that wasn't running a plugin like superhero, (gungame for amxx), wc3, or superhero, and wasn't dust2 or single map 24/7 (ie full rotation), and did not run any fy_ aim_ or dm_ maps (ka_ is fine cuz I love to knife). I wanted to play straight up CS...but it was near impossible to find a server. And in my opinion it's due to the lack of server administrators that actually feel the game is fine as is, and a modification is fine "once in a while". Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Regarding SourceBans:
1. Are you planning to include a complaint function? Would save redirecting people to a forum where they can express their concerns.
2. Whats the status of SB? Still secret or is it already at, lets say, 40%?

As for your comment: My experience as a server administrator is that a full rotation of maps is hardly welcome. People are generally very reluctant, which I believe you were as well during your search for a decent server, to join empty servers and idle for a couple of minutes to let other people join. Everyone seems to want to join a near-full server.
By the way - I persistently run a d2 only and full-rotation server. Guess what, no1 even tries to join the full rotation server, unless I idle in it. This tells a lot about the CS/CSS community.

The plugin is essentially done, the web interface, well you see the admin panel above. So I'd say 40% seems like a decent guestimate.

Actually sessus, I spent hours in empty servers like that. And personally, I will never run a 1 map server...unless I'm paid to do it...then I would...

I myself, with an advanced PHP coder will be creating something like this also, although it may contain some of the same features, its going to do more then Ban and manage admins from the site ^_^

I will look forward to the release of SourceBans though =]

We've got plenty more planned, but not for initial release, admin, ban management, and live bans are our highest priority at the moment.

Just have a question, would this be able to import ban tables. E.g. im using the global banlist plugin, would SOurce bans somehow be able to import these bans at all, or have them copied over?
