If players are getting infected consecutively worse than normal, then that would be caused by the CS:S gods. It's completely random. All the cvar does is check if they were zombie last round and skip them if so. Which obviously isn't working. Shouldn't be hard to fix.

Leb, that feature is done, but it's not in the stable branch.

The code looks right.. what version are you guys running? Can you verify the value of the cvar? (Ingame type sm_cvar zr_infect_consecutive_block)

I have not noticed this on our server... of course, I've only been on when there are under 10 players, but I know the same person (people on some maps) do not spawn as mother zombie two rounds in a row.

I know for a fact this isn't a normal thing on mine, nor has it been doing it for a long time.

I know that in the past we rarely had this issue and it usually ended up being some new guy not knowing that he wasn't a mother zombie last round.

But I can also confirm this has happened at least once before in the last 3 months.

Sorry it isn't much information.

What's zr_infect_mzombie_ratio set to?

I tested with bot_quota set to 6 and the ratio set to 5 - not a single double infect. When I lowered the ratio to 4 I got some double infection, with ratio set to 3 it was even more frequent. There was enough bots to make it logically possible to never become a mother zombie twice in a row - for any player, but it happened anyways.

I can't figure out what's wrong in the code, but I suspect it has something to do when preparing the list of potential mother zombies ("eligible clients") by removing those who are immune - or when the immune flag is set on a mother infection.

I'm also suspecting someone have mistaken what the ratio value is and may think that setting it to 2 will spawn two mother zombies, instead it will actually infect 50%.

Anyways, bug confirmed.

Hi rhelgeby the ratio is still on default at 5
Quote:
// Number of mother zombies to infect (when infect timer is up) in proportion to number of humans on the server.
// Default: "5"
zr_infect_mzombie_ratio "5"

Uhh.. I can't reproduce it. Maybe it's another setting? I had 5 bots + me and I set infect ratio from 5 down to 2, when I had it on 2 it would infect 3 of us, then the other 3, then repeat over and over. No doubles.

My configs are not the defaults. I don't know what would affect it though..
