The reserve slot plugin that comes with SourceMod doesn't work with L4D. No matter how you configure it, it won't work.

i know this is an old thread, folks, but i believe there are several plugins that do this function now.

I also believe that OP has to use the reserved slot flag, I'm not sure if the root (z) flag will give you reserved permissions.

i'm looking for one as well, but can't seem to find anything that does it.

i have an 8vs8 server and want to offer reserved slots as a donator perk...but can't seem to find anything.

i just need to have a spot available for when myself, or one of my admins joins, and then a slot/s for when a donator would join.

No, root will not give you it, nothing will in left4dead. Actually, reserve slots in left4dead is effectively a hack itself. I know a few people who have reserve slot plugins who might post them.

While I won't paste the code I have for the version I wrote, if someone is trying to develop their own version, I will help point them in the right direction.
