I guess this all onel matters IF the computer that you are using is half decent. If your using a bad or crapy computer you have to watch what all you use. but if it's good computer dont worrie about it.

Normaly i run a 1.8ghz 533fsb 512ram and a basic 20gig hdd... However when CAL come around i host my server off of a 3.0ghz HT 800fsb 1gig ram 20gig hdd this way i know that nothing like lag can bother it...also i run my servers on backups along with the network and modem.

You are one of the lucky. Oh yea, forgot to mention I am joining on the same computer that Is the server :/.
