I'll try to get this working. After I'm done working on AdSQL replacement.

A replacement for this plugin would be nice. As for AdSQL it works if you tweak it...

I have already got this working, but haven't gotten around to posting my new PHP scripts (working out the kinks).

BTW, if someone with programming knowledge can write a command line utility that can convert VTFs directly to PNG/Animated PNG using VTFLib: http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=40, I'd be very, very happy... it would make my PHP code a hell of a lot cleaner, and the filesize of output files would be smaller with higher quality.

PNG can't be animated. It has to be a .gif

For those running Debian (and presumably Ubuntu) install these dependencies:
Code:
sudo apt-get install libdevil-dev imagemagick

Anybody successfully got something like vtfconv command-line utility running under Ubuntu? That is the only piece of this solution that I really need. If I can batch-convert DAT/VTF's into PNG on a headless Ubuntu server, everything else can be handled any number of ways.
