Will updater still update those files?
I believe it will place the updated files in /plugins/ which would leave you with the old version still in its folder.

I do plan on adding proper support for this type of setup, but as of now it's a bad idea to arrange your plugins that way when running Updater.

@god-tony: would symlinking also be supported then? (when it comes to individual symlinking)

For individual files, probably not. That might only be possible with an extension that can copy the file properties and apply them to the new one.

@god-tony: A sollution for me would be a optional cvar in which i can say "update to this plugin folder" because i have 1 folder where all the plugins are. Its the same dir on all my boxes. Just thinking out-loud here.

Updater 1.1.4 released - Changelog

You can now safely nest plugins into subdirectories of /plugins/ and still have them auto-update. (example)

Updater 1.1.5 released - Changelog

There were a few rare bugs when downloading updates using the Socket extension and they could cause a corrupt download. Mostly affected plain-text files.

That is from SourceMod's gamedata updater, not this plugin. You can open a new thread in the General section.
