You will always need a separate token for each server. The IP is tied to the token, so if you use more than 1 server per token, you will only confuse Steam and it won't be able to determine when to update the IP

Any idea of the ETA of the gameserver IDs and when that functionality will be ready?

It's been available for weeks.

...but only for TF2 last I checked.

You could try registering IDs for other games using their game IDs, but I don't think any other games support sv_setsteamaccount in srcds yet.

The community in his signature runs only TF2 servers, so I inferred that only TF2 would be relevant for him.

While I was thinking about it, I consolidated some of the more useful information in the thread back into the first post to make it easier to find.

I'll probably add a few more game IDs to the temp webpage, although HOPEFULLY Valve will have their own page up before other games gain support.

Seriously, though, it shouldn't take Valve this long to make said page. I should go whinge at FireSlash about it.

So for those people running 20+ servers, they would have to register 20+ Steam accounts right? Is that changing anytime soon? Sorry for the basic questions, but I still don't fully get this system. To me, that just makes no sense and seems like a lot of work for a minor thing.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I hope you're not confusing Server Steam accounts with Client Steam accounts. 1 Client Steam account can have 1 WebAPI Key, and 1 WebAPI Key can have up to 50 Server Steam accounts.

Afaik, it's really only useful if you're going to change IPs later down the road, at least until they get rid of the current quickplay accounts. If you're not running quickplay servers and aren't going to change IPs you don't even need it. Either way once they put up an actual official page for getting your keys it will be less annoying than having to join each server to register it as per the current system.

I meant does it actually work as stated? I already have all 107 TF2 server I own across 3 different account logged and setup as GID's...what I want to know is if I change the IP of a server, and use it's GID on the new server will it update everyones favorites yet or is that still not available?
