It creates short lag spikes on an interval (you claimed this would be the refresh rate). Is it laggy cuz its not finding a database to connect to?

You completely missed the whole point. You didn't verify anything, you saw this plugin and assumed it is the cause of your lag because unloading it resolves the problem.

You didn't bother to post your SM version.
You didn't bother to post your MM version.
You didn't give a list of plugins the server is running.
You didn't even provide your server specs.

What I have to go on is this; Bob has a server that lags with this plugin.

I didn't claim that the lag spikes were caused by the refresh at all. I said you can try adjusting it to see if it makes a difference. You must have missed that part.

I don't know what more you want from me. I'm trying to help you but you're not providing any more additional info, just "My server lags at 40~ second intervals".

The default update interval is 30 seconds. I provided a very tidy and nicely formatted CVAR list along with very detailed install instructions, you might look at the CVARs. This plugin shouldn't be a strain on anything, although I still don't know your server specs.

You might also take a peek in your error log (if applicable), it will be in the same folder as the rest of your SourceMod logs.

Server PC Specs: http://prntscr.com/2sx5f9 (The processor displays improperly as it is custom built and didnt register, its actually running at 3.2GHz)

And the only thing that playerrank says when booting is:
[SM] Connected to SQLITE Database successfully.

Hope this provides you with the info you need. But once again, im pretty sure that none of my other plugins are causing lagg.

You didn't say anything about an error log, so I assume there were no errors?

All these plugins work, there isnt anything wrong with them.
And no there were no errors in the logs.

Well, the only thing I can think of to do is unload all plugins and run it by itself to see if the lag disappears. I have not tested Player Ranks with the dev versions of SourceMod or Metamod either.

Sorry. I don't know what else to do for your case.

Removing the MySQL part of the plugin will not help anything......

If you're using SQLite, it will ONLY use SQLite.
If you're using MySQL, it will ONLY use MySQL.

The queries in Player Ranks were written in a way where both SQLite and MySQL work with them. You can't separate the queries because they are called by either SQLite or MySQL

Did you play until you had atleast 10 points? There is a CVAR that makes it so you don't get saved into the database unless you have 10 points.

If you want to give me the IP to your TF2 server, I'll join it and try for myself.
