Hello everybody! I'm new here, so be kind with me.
All I want is a piece of advice from some experienced users.
I want to know how exactly I can change the folder settings of HLDS.exe. I mean, it loads all its data from the cstrike folder, from the metamod folder, from the amxx folder or whatever.
But, what if I want to move the HLDS.exe. Let's say I have the server installed in C:\HLDS\... but I have HLDS.exe in C:\Users\Profile\Desktop\HLDS.exe. What should I do to point my HLDS.exe to the C:\HLDS\ folder? Is there any dll responsible for it? Should I add sth in lblist.gam? Or what?
Please help me out with it. And don't tell me to move HLDS.exe, this is not the point.

This is funny. I was sure people will think I'm a noob.
But this isn't what I've been looking for. I don't actually want to have hlds.exe on desktop and the server somewhere else, I'm not crazy. I want to have the server on a remote PC but start it from another. That's what I'm trying to do. And no, I don't think the shortcut might work. Maybe if adding some extra info to the shortcut, maybe the PC IP ? I don't know. Still waiting for answers.

P.S.: Thanks anyway... The shortcut might eventually be the right solution, who knows?
