Reply With Quote #1

Hi!
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I'll give it a shot anyway...

Is there any way to get HLDS to work on two external ips provided by my isps? I tried not to set any ip variable in my run command (so that it will use 127.0.0.1 as listen ip) but it seems that the only ip that actualy HLDS listens from outside is the one from my default route (using Linux btw). Other than that it seems that I can connect through my lan to the server internal & external ips. So basicaly I think HLDS should actually support listening on more ips (like apache for example) but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Oh, and my firewall is set to accept connections on HLDS ports on both external interfaces so this shouldn't be the issue here.

Any help is gladly appreciated. Thanks!

you can try by forwarding ports with your firewall ..

hlds set on IP1:27015

then forward ports IP2:27015 to IP1:27015 (udp or tcp or both i dont remember)
or something like this... this is just an idea .. dont know if it works

Yes, but will that get my server listed twice on the internet servers list?
'cause that's what I want.
It's an old topic, but I haven't solved this.

I certainly hope not. And I don't expect it will, since it won't advertise its two ips to the master servers.

No its not possible, why would you want to do that?

Edit: sorry didnt read whole thread, you could always start up several servers with fakefull plugin on them and redirect them to the real server...

You don't even need MetaMod and/or AMXX to do that Owyn.

But how? Even if I don't use +ip it's still using only one external ip..
It's not behaving like other services, that bound on all of my ips.
