Hopefully not too low! The problem is that once a player has downloaded a <map>_particles.txt file, there's no way to update it. If you only include custom_particles01 - custom_particles10 then that is all that player can ever use!
That's why I specify 500 custom particle files, just in case and to perhaps let other plugin authors use their own custom particle files. I don't think a bit of console spam every map change is a particularly high price to pay (not to mention each file is only 22kb).
