This is MEANT ONLY FOR REALISM. For those of you great scripters out there, say whenever a survivor dies, they die for good, meaning if they die one map, they dont get respawned in the next. Anyone wanna make this? This is basically for a mod I made making the game extremely realistic and this would be a beautiful addition.

You two can just agree to rude and disagree with the OP, but Zverina has brought up a new concept that can be applied to tournaments, community related events, and private servers. You both assume his reasons for wanting it and dismiss them without even considering the possibilities. He's the one requesting the idea; if you don't have anything useful to contribute to it don't clutter his topic.

If he wants to put it on a public server, that's his prerogative, but a mod like this would be best suited on a private or unlisted server specifically for his original reason: REALISM. Think of it this way, you can host a "Pro L4D" event, where if you and your team can survive until the end without having to die you win a prize or something of the sort. Whatever he decides, it's a nice concept and if neither of you two are going to help you can clutter other topics =P. Granted I'm cluttering too, but you two irked me...

Here is some example. Need your feedback. It USES STEAM ID for remembering who died. The "DEAD-LIST" will reset on "FINALE START" events only! After round start - all players who died in previous round will die after 27 seconds (i hope its enough for all to load in game completely). I dont know if it would work properly in Versus. Hope it would.

I will make something more convenient with some cvars later.

Well, test it in campaign then. And i will add gamemode check. I just need to know if it works, it should ofc. but i think there may be problems with resetting dead-list. I'm not sure if finale_start event fired every time you restartgame after defeat in campaign, or when the 2nd team start finale in versus.
