Greetings,

I was hoping someone might have some suggestions on a All Mute/UnMute function that would allow admins to mute a server to make annoucements if needed without being "over talked"

So in otherwords, a menu command that would mute everyone on the server except for the admin. And then unmute everyone when the admin was ready.

It would also be nice to tie this to the admin level. So that junior admins wouldn't have access to this command.

sm_mute @all
sm_unmute @me

That will mute everyone and then unmute yourself so you can do that =)

To add it to a menu with a certain required access, level, see this:

Greetings,

I've added it to the custom menu

"Global Mute"
{
"cmd" "sm_mute @all"
"admin" "sm_slay"
"execute" "server"
}
"UnMute Me"
{
"cmd" "sm_unmute @me"
"admin" "sm_slay"
"execute" "server"
}
"Global UnMute"
{
"cmd" "sm_unmute @all"
"admin" "sm_slay"
"execute" "server"
}

However, as you can see I had to add another menu option for unmute self. And it doesn't appear to work. Any help on combining both commands and why it currently doesn't work. The unmute self part.

Thanks,

"execute" "server"

change that to

"execute" "player"

You are basically telling the server to unmute itself... which it can't =P

why not use sm_mute @!me. which targets everyone but you.
I found that command on this page. http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Admin_Commands_(SourceMod)

Give this plugin by Kill0r a try, I use this to do exactly what you are after! it gives you the ability to run commands on a group ignoring but another group, eg sm_slap all of team1 but not Admins on team1.

http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=491050

I think this is the command you are after:
sm_rungroup all-admin sm_mute ##id

I hope this helps
