I thought that the more players there is on a server, the more rates have to be high (because there is more traffic), am i wrong ?

I dunno what was the real objective of this plugin, but I'm using to setup rates to limit BW usage

So, the comparison is unfair. This one is specifically made for this so, it is automatic and also can change the cvars on fly (instead of using server_cmd) (what is not the current situation but, is an easy change). Basically, if this plugin works right, it is much more easy to set up than using that one. And requires no knowledge of how the rates work.

Yeah! I agree that.
I've just installed it and nothing else to make it works.

And ultimate executor doesn't do the same.
It executes a command for maxplayers but this plugin changes rates on players connects/disconnects so the rates are not static.

I dont know I thought client_authorized and putinserver where almost the exact same and yeah I should use set_cvar_num and will make that change soon or tommoro

Your not wrong, that would be good but would only work if there were enough rates for it to go that high. It starts by making it really high probably the maximum you can distribute when there is 1 player but then slowly divides that to each player as they come in

The real objective is to try and automically set your server rates to try and control the lag as best as possible as far as the server cvars go. Not only will it automatically set it though it will dynamically change them based on the amount of players. Dont know if that helps.

Thats what id think too but its ultimatly up to the plugin approvers, and I guess he figures there is not enough point to this. Perhaps though when I make it more advance and update this post one of them may reconsider because then it would have some uniqueness that no other plugin can achieve

client_authorized - could be in server and not authed (ie. STEAM_ID_PENDING, etc..).
client_connect - not sure if it would be best but it would include those connecting to the server as well.
client_putinserver - at least you know the client was placed into the server.


You could do set_cvar_num, but set_pcvar_num might be best since the changes can be called often.

If you're not sure how to do this you can get the pointers in plugin_init:
