Hi!

Final maps ONLY:
Is there a way (I couldnīt find any hook events for boomer/smoker/hunter spawn here: http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Left_4_Dead_Events) to put a boomer/smoker/hunter into ghost mode so he can choose time of materializing ? Boomers know what I am talking about...it really sucks getting instant spawn at the other end of the map, you get heard by everyone and get shot at first sight... Anyone please say "yes I can"

I just slapped myself when i spawned at DA5 as a boomer, and landed on survivors' heads. Was really fun =)

well, compared to the amount of deaths a boomer has to face because of instant spawn one good vomit does not compensate the frustration a player experiences.

I guess you'll have to hook everytime a player spawns. Special Infected classes are counted "player"s as they can be controlled by human players and when they are not, an AI bot does.
Read the description for player_hurt.
My guess is that it should register the same for player_spawn.

But how can we made instant spawn into spawn from ghost? Even if we hook player_spawn, what next? How to force game use ghost mode?

I have to clarify that I am NOT a programmer. I just have some knowledge about C++ but all I usually do is modding existing plugins so they meet my needs. This includes bugfixing and altering certain functionality for example. I have no idea of how to create a plugin that "ghosts" already materialized infected, so I posted it as a request due to a lack of knowledge. I just got the idea that it must be possible when I looked at THIS plugin, ghost tank:

Maybe thereīs something reusable in the code ? It would be perfect if itīs working for boomer only, because hunter/smoker can run faster and hide more efficient compared to boomer.

I'm not sure you can use player_spawn, apart from that its really simple to code
