This idea came to me when was playing some vs and was unsatisfied with the fact that we didn't receive a tank durring NM2. The idea of this plugin would be to allow players to vote on a tank spawn at the beginning of each map. A vote would be issued (EX: sm_vote "Should tank spawn this round?) and durring the time of the vote the saferoom door would be locked. If only half of the players or less voted the director would take charge of the spawning. The same can be done for the witch, but the vote should be issued after the tank vote has finished. The vote should not last more than 60 seconds to avoid rage quits.

So tell me what you think of this idea.

It sounds overly complicated for what you are trying to do. It sounds like you just want a tank every round. Try:

That said, I've been contemplating a system where the Infected get to vote on *where* the tank shows up because frankly there are some places where a tank is totally useless. Basically the infected would accumulate points every time the survivors did something like find an weapon/medpack/pipebomb etc. Infected would also earn more points when the survivors are playing really well (killing special infected while taking very little damage). The infected could then spend these points to spawn tanks or witches in certain places.

It would be a ton of work and I'm not even sure it would play that well.

I was simply thinking of a plugin that would start a vote to change the tank chance to 100% or 0% at the beginning of every new map, both teams would get to vote at the beginning of a new map, and the safe room door would be locked during the votes. So at the beginning of every map a vote would begin such as "sm_vote Tank this level" and if more people voted yes it would make the chance of a tank 100%, if more people voted no the chance would be 0% for the map, if it tied the default chance would take over.
