does mp_scrambleteams do anything? it shows up as a command but their is no definition and its not value based. Ive tried several mp commands in game with no sucess but have not tried it in my server.cfg

Team Scrambling would work ok for a random public server I suppose but it's really annony for a friends only game (espically seeing is how u pick teams in the lobby)

I thought it was an admin issue but if its global plz make me a plug in

z_restrict_team_change didn't work. It did prenvent people from spawning in as the tank though. They'd see that a tank is coming, then the message would disappear and there'd be no tank.

As for whether this is a global problem, it is. I can't find any setting that controls it. I have noticed that it only happens between levels as well. (i.e. Each team plays one side, then the other on the same level, and then they can compare scores, but when they've both played the same level, it starts the next one.. and that's when scrambles can occur)

I'm interested in writing this plugin.. but it's been ages since I've written one... if I recall correctly, sourcemod lets me bind to hooks? So I imagine if I bind to a 'join team' hook I can keep track of who's on what team, and if I bind to a 'change map' hook then I can perform the unscramble. Is that the case? Can anyone help me with resources to figure out what those hooks are? Maybe a good tutorial or something?

One tricky thing that comes to mind is that the same level is played twice, with the teams reversed for the second time.. I wonder if there's a way for me to know (When I'm checking to see which teams people are on) which half of the level is being played. Does anyone know how to do that?

I asked valve support, and they replied saying the team scramble a known issue and a patch is in the works, so I won't bother with this plugin.

I posted a plugin to do this two days ago, though I didn't find the Windows signatures for Windows servers to use it.

Yeah, saw your plugin and posted it on our server Fyren. I'll report back if I have any issues. Thanks for the work you put into it... it'll definitely be helpful until Valve hotfixes the problem.

I'm increasingly having the OPPOSITE PROBLEM, in which I need to quickly and fairly SCRAMBLE the teams b/c they are so uneven. Has anyone developed a plug-in that will scramble the teams based upon points/kills/etc... and preferably restart the level? (and scores)
