The programmer behind detox is now lead programmer of the development team at InterWave Studios, he says he has interest in updating Detox soon, but has no estimate as to when.

Detox's implementation can already be somewhat taxing on the server due to it's method of working relying on an interesting form of prediction and line of sight deciding when to and when not to show clients via a server side plugin, this is it's way of preventing wall hacks, by blocking player position data from being sent server side if the player can not be seen.

This is not possible (as far as I know) through a simple sourcemod plugin, MAYBE through an extention, but ultimately you create numerous layers that are unnecessary and makes it very very inefficient. The straight up on it, making Detox a SourceMod plugin would be a very bad idea.

Also, Detox is not a detection system, it is a blocking system, and it is not 100%

Lastly, Detox will most likely never be made open source, and, if/when the developer decides to continue work on the plugin, it will most likely undergo a complete overhaul of it's entire code base (now that he's had time to actually get his hands dirty throughout the SDK in mod development he has a lot more insight as to how to write it more efficiently and effectively). Your best bet: sit and wait.
