Hey everyone... just wondering if I'm supposed to have a certain file on my computer to read/open certain files on amxmodx, etc.

For some reason any install file on amxmodx, or adminmod just shows up as a file and my computer asks me what to use to open the file...

I recently purchased a tfc server and I clicked Install via gameservers.com website, but amxmodx is not installed.

Search for the files extension. Most likely their in a .zip or .rar format when their larger files.

I don't see one anywhere. I log into my server thru the ftp program I use which is coreftp, login, double click tfc, double click my servers IP addy, double click tfc again, then it's my servers main directory. I double click addons, (I then see amxmodx, statsme, metamod folders) double click amxmodx and their are the folders for amxmodx like config, scripting, plugins, etc. I already restarted my server too. ??

All AMX config files are pure text. The only ones that are not are .dat or .amxx files.

You can just associate them with Notepad or Wordpad if you want.
