Is it possible or do you ever think it will be possible to have rotating sky boxes? either in hl1 or hl2 engines.

I think you can do everything normal world does with 3D skybox on HL2, but I'm not sure. In HL1, don't think so.

normal world? 3d skybox? idk much about hl2 just hl1. but if i would be able to do a rotating or spinning skybox that would be cool.

In HL2 you make a part of the map in a smaller scale, and point it to be the skybox. It will be changed to the correct scale and will be used accordingly by the engine. I'm ASSUMING any normal entities would work on it.

But about HL1, I see no way of doing this.
