Yes you could look at it that way. Possibly it also prevented Saddam killing a million more of his people. and letting his sons continue his work.

I love how people keep referring to the current economic hardship of the USA being the fault of the pres. (BTW, things aren't all that bad now like they were). Terrorists flew two planes threw the heart of the US economy in 2001. I hate it when all the blame goes off of the people it should fall on the most and then the poeple who are left trying to pick up all the pieces get criticized. Was it handled perfectly? Hindsight is 20/20. I would love to see someone recommend a person to handle it SO MUCH BETTER the first time something like this happens.

The debate? They were both boring. Kerry kept saying "If I am elected... it will all be better" with out saying why most of the time and Bush sounded like a broken record "He changes his mind". I mean fine say it but we heard you the first 10 times move on already.

nothing more could be said, yes every president who is elected picks up the pieces for the previous president and there is no easy way to deal with Iraq and that bastard Ben Laden the fact of the matter is if you had lost some one on sept 11 2001 you would be all behind Bush on his efforts, I don't clime to be the smartest man on earth or to say I know allot about policies (or spelling) but there is one thing I do know....

were damned if we do, were damned if we don't....

and as my Mexican co-worker said (I'm White BTW)

its a lose lose situation for him, if bush wins he goes to Iraq and if Kerry wins he gets sent back over the border

and as I see it the more and more we complain and change things the more freedoms are taken away and the more and more we become a nation that is not free but is just another dictatorship, and what brings this dictatorship on? us, we cry and cry and cry about every little thing and instead of doing whats right we want to make every one feel good so damn it I'm going to shut up now and just say we are screwed one way or another

What planet do you get your news from? Are you freaking nuts? Are you completely blind to what happened in Russia last month? I don't think you know who the bad guys are at all. Did you bother to click on either of those links I posted above? You think the USA is over in Iraq so we can slaughter children? Saddam killed towns full of them! Show me proof thats what we're doing over there and don't you dare dig up some story where civilians were killed when we went after a military target. My gosh, no one likes that part of war, no one does! But there is a huge freaking diff between targetting civillans and targetting military. How many US military people have been beheaded over there in Iraq eh? Can't think of any? Now, how many civilian foreign "aide" workers have been beheaded?? Ahh, yeah. Great bunch of people over there in Iraq, the ones with the guns.

Peli, what big mess is the US in? What bunch of wrong actions did Bush take? Bush ticks me off too in a lot of areas but I have this feeling you don't know what you're talking about.

Omg mogely , you're telling me all those airstrikes on suspected terrorist hideouts actually get terrorists? Who knows? Even the U.S. said they don't REALLY know , they've killed many civilians already. And Bush didn't even have exit plan for Iraq after he invaded it , now look , this is the worst of the war , now you have insurgeonts everywhere and no-go zones...
