It's a linux problem. Unfixable.
I have no information about it. Debug it if you wanna. Disable line by line to find out.

I can verify that this does work on my Linux server. I'm running AMX Mod X 1.80.

Visually, the molotov cocktail works great. There is, however, one small issue with your code, CantShoot. In my error log, I have this:

Code:
L 05/11/2008 - 00:37:17: Info (map "glass_cloud") (file "addons/amxmodx/logs/error_20080511.log")
L 05/11/2008 - 00:37:17: [FAKEMETA] Invalid entity
L 05/11/2008 - 00:37:17: [AMXX] Displaying debug trace (plugin "molotov_cocktail.amxx")
L 05/11/2008 - 00:37:17: [AMXX] Run time error 10: native error (native "engfunc")
L 05/11/2008 - 00:37:17: [AMXX]    [0] molotov_cocktail.sma::fire_stop (line 606)
This happens with any map. It doesn't crash the server or anything like the original plugin did.

I am using the unmodified molotov_cocktail.sma file from the molotov_cocktail.zip file that CantShoot posted (#144).

Line 606:
Code:
        engfunc(EngFunc_RemoveEntity, param[0]); // *** Added **
The error doesn't appear in the log every time someone uses a molotov cocktail. I'm still trying to track down the exact events the precede the error. I have a hunch that it is caused when someone leaves the server while holding a molotov cocktail or just after using one.

I changed lines 606 and 607 to the following:
Code:
        if (pev_valid(param[0])) { engfunc(EngFunc_RemoveEntity, param[0]); } // *** Added **
        if (pev_valid(param[1])) { engfunc(EngFunc_RemoveEntity, param[1]); } // *** Added **
I have a feeling that this change only gets rid of a symptom of the actual problem. I suspect the plugin isn't properly keeping track of all of the entities.

For the past 24 hours that this code has been running, I haven't seen the error in the log files. I'll keep an eye out for it, though.

Edit: CantShoot must have originally posted a different file. I just looked at the zip file that is posted now and the script in there does not match what I have. So, the line numbers I refer to in this post won't match the file if you download it.

From time to time once in a few coctails , the server restarts. I'll post the errr log as soon as i can.
