This is a notice about the official release date, which is currently March 7, 2004.

There will be a building wide power outage for ten hours on Saturday, March 6th, from 4AM to 6PM EST (that's noon to 10PM in Germany?). The power outage is planned for maintenance and installing a backup generator.

So this site will not be available, don't panic

There are huge changes. The AMX Mod X core is starting to be VERY different from the original AMX Mod core.

Because of these changes we have to start planning on where we want to go with this.

AMX Mod X 0.1 is going to be our show release that says "Yes, we exist, and we are sticking with this". I would not use it for production use yet. It's main features will be the new small engine, compiler, modules, function features, directory structure, and documentation.

AMX Mod X 0.2 will reveal a totally new module interface, making it faster and it will allow for new things such as AMX global plugin pausing. We will also reveal official modules for other mods with this release - NS, DoD, TS, TFC, et cetera.

AMX Mod X 0.3 will be the pre-1.0 beta that cleans up 0.2. We will also reveal the final website then.

AMX Mod X 1.0 will be the final, "bug-free" release.

will it be possible to load/unload modules on the fly..
some leagues like esl doesn't allow modules like funmodule.. so that would be very useful..

OK, looks like we have solved the linux compiling problem... We will continue compiling when BAILOPAN comes online again...

The release should be today afternoon.
