Hi.

I'm looking for a 'stand alone' kill distance plugin, and so far only found one: NightScreem's kill distance plugin.

http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthr...=kill+distance

It has a few problems the way i see it;

1: Text beeing shown right where the chat is locatet. I'd like if it could be shown above the counter, lower middle of screen.

2: Needs more numbers, like: 2.57m etc. (and not just 2m and 3m etc)

3: Text color/font should be plain and simple, like chat text. No fancy colors, opacity etc.

4: The distance should only be visible for killer and victim, and shown right after the kill.

- Killer get's message: killed "X victim" from x.xx m

- victim get's message: You got killed from x.xx m by "X killer"

Actually there is a plugin that works alot like this, but its embedded in the "stats me" plugin, and i dont wanna install that package to get a kill-distance plugin. I just want a simple stand alone amxx.

Might be some stuff in this prior thread about distance etc:

http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=14464

(Never requestet a plugin before, so please correct me if im doing this the wrong way )

Oh great! Looking forward to testing it.

It is displayed right after the kill, in both plugins - i just added it to the list for clarification.

The distance meter embedded in the "Statsme" metamod plugin, has small digits showing. I have no idea if this could provide any help, but here goes anyways (copy paste from the statsme file):

sm_tell #{v.uid} \'{k.name} killed you with {V4}\\nfrom distance of {{k.a{v.id}.dist}*0.0254} meters\\n{k.name}

Anyways thanks for helping :-)

I know that ,
Ive looked threw it but i didnt get any luck,
working on it again now, And wich color
do you want the text to be in ?.

Choose whatever you want , is the default cs text in yellow ?, and what do
mean with small digits ? "hi" or precision on the result ex 1.253

EDIT : I think everything works now im just gonna try it out
and i might change the color of the output

Quote:
Well as it is for now, it appears when someone gets killed to the victim and killer but i havent tried it out yet but ill upload it and you can try it out.

Hey.

heres what i discovered so far:

Good stuff:

I like the position just above the counter.

Text font/color is plain and simple.

Bad stuff:

Not showing distance, it just shows: 0.000000m

To many small numbers. Should be only 2 like this: 0.00m (ex. 1.57m)

By the way - the idea is that it should ONLY be postet to the killer and the victim, and not the whole server. Dunno if it does though, diddnt test. Just wantet to say to make sure ;)

I c , I had some help with the precision on the numbers , though as
i can see it didnt work =/

But hold on !
Im not giving up that easy.
Im gonna get some more help but its probably fixed soon.

BTW did the message come up when you got killed(Victim) ?

EDIT : You have to set "distance_all '0'" if you want so only
the killer and victim can see it.
