Wondering...I think game-monitor.com and ServerSpy (well, as of maybe Jan'07) say their ranking system will not detect bots so that the server that looks like palyers are in it, aren't counted. So that some servers that use bots don't get false rankings.

But, is there a bot/bot plugin/ metamod that will act and possibly be considered a "player" to increase a server's rank? A bypass to the ranking systems.

If bots don't have steam id's, then I think they don't get counted...not sure...just wondering if there's a work around.

And we don't use bots. Probably never will. Our server ranks are great and true. I'm just wondering about our competition fluffing the ranking system.

Well... you certainly can't fake Steam IDs on bots. (or at least I don't think you can, and even if it's possible, I doubt it'll ever be made)

So if that's how their ranking it, no.

About the bot plugin, I'm quite sure there's a bot balancing plugin which does exactly that.

EDIT: I can't seem to find it though, but if you use CZ you can at least use the bot_quota cvar to determine how much bots stay in the game, it's a start.

This plugin is supposed to work with podbot mm - not CZERO bots.

I'll rephrase it for You then - the plugin the topic starter asked me to write (and You can find the test version of it here) is supposed to work with podbot mm. The plugin You mentioned - I believe this one - is supposed to work with CZERO bots. The topic starter - Spiky Pirate - wanted the plugin working with podbot mm - he didn't ask for a plugin working with CZERO bots.

I've updated the plugin. It had one bug reported at podbot mm forum. Should be fixed now.
