Hello,

I'm having trouble with my new server configuration.
Since I upgrade my SourceMod plugins, when no one is connected to my server, the map is never changed !!!

The map only changes when players are connected.

The problem is that many players search the server they're going to play on, by filtering on map or whatever.

I don't all information information about my config, but here is a sample :
  • Metamod 1.4.2.414
  • SourceMod r1404
  • SourceMod Plugins
    • AntiCamp 0.9
    • Advanced C4 Timer 1.3
    • Lastman 1.1.1
    • Quake sounds 1.7
    • Restrict Item 1.1.4.0
    • Macycle show in Menu 1.0
    • KillStats 1.1
    • CS Team Balance
    • RockTheVote
    • ATAC
    • Ads
    • High Ping Kicker
    • Super Menu
    • Super Commands
    • DeathBeam
This list is for sur not exhaustive, I will edit my post later with SourceMod Plugins list.

My mp_timelimit is set to 25, take a look at the time played on the map !!



Any idea for the moment ?

That's the default behaviour for CS:S. Valve doesn't consider it a bug.

If you were using Mani before, it is probable his plugin was forcing the mapchange.

Really ?! It seems weird, but I think I can trust you.

Is there a way to force this map change, according to the mp_timelimit value ?

I also found something else, my server crashes, I don't really how to turn debug on.
I just know there is that kind of issue using the latest version of Killstats.

Should I open another post ?

The issue with killstats is being worked on (there's an open report).

The issue with maps changing is that Valve doesn't start entity timers until a player joins (they say it's an optimization). The result is that if no players have joined, the in-game timers haven't activated, and the map won't change.

We're planning on addressing this in SourceMod soon, specifically with regards to the upcoming mapchooser plugin.

Same problem with map change, glad to hear you guys are fixing it. What was Valve thinking lol.

It is possible that KillStats is crashing (I've heard both that it crashes and doesn't crash) - to rule this possibility out, I uploaded 1.0.3 in the killstats post which you can use in the meantime.

No. Just use teame06's plugin. I'm not entirely sure whether we'll address this in SourceMod by default yet; we're going to solve existing timelimit issues for the mapchooser/timeleft plugins. Forcing the map to change while players aren't in the server hasn't been decided yet.
