Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I saw this thread sink to the bottom of the forums and I thought I'd never see it again. Much to my delight and surprise, it has resurfaced!

Yeah, for now the project is extremely new and has a lot of work ahead of it. I plan on pushing it, but slowly. I don't want to take on to much at once. I want to start simple, get the basics set up, and work my way to more. I've seen far to many projects destroyed by to much ambition, so I'd rather take it slowly. I fully plan on expanding the project, especially with custom made plugins. There's a very good chance that the project will move to TFC2, simply for it's (hopefully upcoming) popularity. That'll give it a stronger, fresh fanbase to work with and make it easier to expand. If TFC2 bombs, or if it works out on TFC1, I won't move. The reason I bring it up at all is just so everyone who's reading this is aware that my mind is open. I'm not going to stick to TFC1 and doom the project just for something as silly as graphics.

Cool, I could definitely use moderators. Not only do mods keep things in check, they more importantly act as a figure of strength, a figure of authority. This boosts the projects validity and professionalism in the eyes of people, and helps the project overall expand faster. Unfortunately I have yet to take up on your offer as the server isn't officially open yet (I'm still tweaking things and waiting on my new hosting computer to come in) but please stay in contact with me and feel free to give me any suggestions or ideas you may have. If you have any sort of messaging system, even if it's just your Steam ID for steam friends messaging, it'd be helpful to PM me it. It'd allow us to stay in contact and stay in touch so when the time comes you can decide if you want to join and help out or not. Website moderation is also a plus, I can only do so much myself and if this project does take off I'd need someone to help out with that too, if you're willing of course.

Cool! I've always been a fan of TFC too, and I'm glad to see others who enjoy the idea. Programming help would be extraordinarily useful - I myself have experience in Java, C++, PHP/MYSQL, but my knowledge base isn't extremely extensive. I'd also like to get into scripting for amx mod, for the eventual creation of plugins, and I could use some help getting started on that. Can you do any design elements? I'm okay at design for certain things and I do have some photoshop experience - but unfortunately I just can't seem to get a good layout or design in general planned out for the website this project would take home to. The website, ironically enough, is the core, the basis of this project. Without it the servers become meaningless. I don't want to launch the project officially for people to start joining and playing until I have at least a decent or temporary design and stat system set up. I can set up the stats system and tweak it from there, but I need a semi-professional layout at the least to do so as without a good looking site people won't even glance twice at the project as a whole. If you can do any design work, that'd be extremely helpful as it's the thing I need the most at this point.
Thank you all so much for your replies and willingness to help so far! I'm extremely excited to see others taking even a mild interest in what I hope to accomplish, and I'm more then grateful for the help you guys have been so far.
One more thing, after some thinking I have come up with one more position I could really use to give the server an extra special spark. That position would be: Voice Actor. If anyone has a high quality microphone, a (sorry if I sound a little stereotypical here!) deep mature voice, and some sort of talent for voice acting or acting in general it would be a big help. The reason: SOUNDS. I'd LOVE to create custom in game event based sounds for the server. I do NOT want to use the same old same old quake and unreal sounds, or even the less used halo sounds. I'd really like to come up with custom event sounds for Headshots, Knife kills, killing sprees, multi kills, and even my own custom events. It'd allow me to come up with my own phrases, and give a special quality to the server that you wouldn't find anywhere else. It'd be awesome, and an honor to have someone work with me to come up with and record custom event sounds to give the project an extra edge. It's not a necessity of course, but it's something I'd like to be able to do eventually. If anyone's interested and think they have what it takes let me know - although I can't guarantee you'll be officially used, I can promise I'll give you a fair shot.
Thanks again! I'll check back more often this time.
