It would depend on skin density, the angle in which you hit, and where. And of course the substance the spoon is made of.

Well a plastic spoon would break under a lot of usage and pressure making it pointy able to kill someone probably quicker,

I think a metal spoon would be ...tougher to kill someone with just the blunt end.

I have this picture in my mind of someone going at someone with a spoon to their neck or their wrist or something lol.
