Alright, I haven't checked the AMX site in a while so when I came here to my surprise I found out that it can load modules on it's own. Well that got me thinking. Since I am currently working on a mod for Half Life 1, I wanted AMX support, but the mod is going to require that both the Client and Server DLL match for purposes I would rather not dicuss at this current time. This would make MetaMod impossible to use, and therefore AMX.
Since AMX can do this, I was wondering what it would take to embed AMX support into a linked to DLL which would be separate from both server and Client, but would allow for in-game VGUI to allow people setting up a server to choose which plug-ins they want for a specific occasion.
I hope none of this sounded too confusing, but I'm getting pressed for a release of Build 1120 (The first playable version) and I was asked to put in AMX support.
Also, Not sure if this was the right forum. If it was not, then please move it.
