Yes, I am more than certain I know what I am talking about. Intel has a thing we like to call a BOTTLENECK.

It's like 1000's of instructions attempting to go through the bus in order to communicate with the ram - problem is, motherboards set for intel chips have a bus speed the FRACTION of the processor. An intel chip may operate at 3.2 Ghz (3200 Mhz) however, since the bus speed is much slower than the chip, the data is actually sent at the speed of the bus (usually max 1.0 Ghz). The mechanics of a computer work as slow as the slowest component. I'd prefer not to argue this subject as it takes very minute research.

I live in the heart of technology - silicon valley where Intel and AMD are based. Fortunately, since AMD continues to release better products, it makes Intel work alot harder for the consumers business. Recently, Intel engineered a "laser-bus system" which operates like fiber optics except instead of transferring network data, it will transfer system instructions. See http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060918-7773.html for more information.

Yes, knekter, I do know what I am doing. I understand how cheap building a new computer would have been, however, I did not finance this video card myself, it was purchased FOR me. Eventually, I will build my own computer and ensure that it is more efficient than the OEM computers made now.
