It's a theory. No one can prove it.

No one really knows anything about Shakespeare, he wasn't really popular during his time. A few of his sonnets appear to be shaped around him speaking to a man.

The only reason we really know he probably wasn't homosexual (or rather bisexual as the theories go) is because he wrote most of his poetry toward females.

Watch that one shakespeare movie (forgot its name) thats mostly fiction but shows the creation of Romeo and Juliet.

@MysticDeath, was that actually known or just one of the suggestions on how it was created?
Well I've seen a lot of movies based off romeo and juliet, like the one with leo and that one chick, with guns instead of swords (cool twist, gay over all though). I've seen one that followed the book pretty much to the letter, it was decent. And another one I've seen was when he was 'writing' it and he fell in love with a women who wanted to be on stage, even though it was illegal to let a women act on stage, and that was a really good movie XD

As for the boat thing, its just a guess anyone could make if you payed attention to the details of the story. As for the whole popularity thing, I've never heard that he wasn't popular in his time. I mean playwrites didn't make much money in that time, but didn't Queen Elizabeth love his plays? I thought the kings men were popular...

Since you decided to totally miss my post, that's called Shakespeare in Love.

But anyway, I think the recent conversion is stupid. Capulet says "give me my longsword, ho," then promptly picks up a shotgun (himself) that was conveniently laying inside the door of his limo.

Yeah, I've seen Shakespeare in Love and part of the recent conversion. You got to admit, the convenient shotgun part was rather funny . I'm sure people in Verona still talk like that

People have also guessed that he didn't like his wife too much due to one or 2 of his plays didn't they? (in one he said don't marry an older women or something like that).
